Introduction
Krabi is the gateway to some of Southeast Asia’s most dramatic scenery. Sheer limestone karst towers rise from turquoise water. Railay Beach — only accessible by boat — is arguably Thailand’s most beautiful beach. The rock climbing is world-class.

Railay Beach
Railay is the main reason most people come to Krabi. A peninsula inaccessible by road due to limestone cliffs — reached only by longtail boat from Ao Nang (10 minutes, ฿100) or Krabi Town (45 minutes, ฿150).
Railay West Beach: The most beautiful — calm, clear water, good swimming.
Railay East Beach: Mangroves and shallow water — best at high tide.
Tonsai Beach: 10-minute walk from Railay via a path (requires rope climbing at high tide). Climbers’ and backpackers’ beach. Excellent cheap food and bungalows.
Phra Nang Cave Beach: Stunning — turquoise water, dramatic cliffs, cave shrine. Accessible on foot from Railay.
