Which Beaches Are Best in Each Season?
Dry season (Nov–Apr): All beaches excellent. Patong, Kata, Karon, Surin, Bang Tao, Naiharn all good.
Wet season (May–Oct): West coast beaches (Patong, Kata, Karon, Kamala) get rougher waves. East coast beaches (Ao Yon, Chalong Bay) stay calmer. Phuket Town and interior unaffected by beach conditions.

Phuket or Koh Samui: Which to Visit?
The key difference: their rainy seasons are opposite. When Phuket is wet (May–Oct), Koh Samui is usually dry. When Koh Samui is wet (Oct–Jan), Phuket is dry.
If visiting in November–December: choose Phuket. Koh Samui’s worst weather is Oct–Jan.
If visiting in June–September: consider Koh Samui. Phuket’s worst weather is May–Oct.
