Who Should Apply for an eVisa?

You don’t need an eVisa if your country qualifies for Visa on Arrival (most Western passports). You can simply pay on arrival.

Apply for an eVisa if:

• You want a 60-day stay (vs 30-day VoA)
• You want to avoid airport queues
• Your country doesn’t qualify for VoA

How to Apply for Indonesia eVisa

1. Go to: molina.imigrasi.go.id
2. Create an account
3. Select visa type: B211A (Tourist/Social-Cultural Visit)
4. Fill in personal information and travel details
5. Upload required documents
6. Pay fee online
7. Wait for approval (3–7 business days)
8. Download visa document
9. Present at Indonesian immigration with passport

Required Documents

• Passport valid for at least 6 months
• Passport photo (digital)
• Confirmed return or onward flight ticket
• Hotel booking confirmation
• Proof of sufficient funds (bank statement)
• Travel insurance (recommended, increasingly required)

Extending Your Stay in Bali

Visa on Arrival extension: Apply at Bali immigration office (Kantor Imigrasi Ngurah Rai) before your 30 days expire. Cost: IDR 500,000. Maximum one extension = 60 days total.

Visa runs: Previously common practice of exiting Bali briefly to reset the visa. Indonesia now monitors this more closely and may deny re-entry to frequent visa runners. Not recommended.

Long-term options: Digital nomad visa (Rumah Kedua / Second Home Visa) — requires significant assets or income but provides a 5-10 year visa.

Ngurah Rai International Airport (DPS):

• Visa on Arrival queue can be 30–60 minutes during busy periods
• Apply for eVisa in advance to skip the queue
• Have correct cash (IDR) or card ready for VoA payment
• Complete customs form on the plane or via SATVIKA app before landing
