Best Coworking Spaces in Chiang Mai: Where I Actually Work

Chiang Mai has too many coworking spaces

There are probably 40+ coworking spaces in Chiang Mai, which sounds great until you realize that some of them are basically coffee shops with a printer, and others have internet that drops during afternoon storms. Here’s what I’ve actually used and what works.

MANA Coworking

The best pure-work space in the city, in my opinion. Nimman area, good natural light, fast internet consistently, private call booths, good coffee. Day pass: ฿250. Monthly: ฿3,500–4,500. The people who work here are focused — it’s not a social space, which is exactly what I need when I have deadlines. I’ve met some excellent people here who turned out to share the same anti-social working preferences.

CAMP at Maya Mall

The classic. Buy a Maya coffee (฿100 minimum purchase) and you have unlimited time and reliable WiFi in an air-conditioned mall. It’s crowded, a bit noisy, and exactly what you need when you want to feel less alone while working. Popular with students and newer nomads. Fine for a few hours, not great for all-day focus work.

Yellow Coworking

Slightly further from Nimman center, quieter as a result. Good for people who want to avoid the main nomad bubble. Reasonable prices and the place where I’ve had the most interesting conversations with Thai professionals also working there — not just expats.

The honest recommendation

Don’t lock in a month of coworking anywhere before trying it for a day. Day passes are cheap enough (฿200–300) that you can try three or four spaces in a week and figure out which one suits your rhythm.
