Best Coworking Spaces in Bali: Where I’ve Actually Worked

Canggu has more coworking spaces than some small cities

The Bali nomad infrastructure has gotten genuinely good. A few years ago, good coworking in Bali meant finding a cafe with adequate WiFi and hoping the table next to you wasn’t running a sales call on speaker. Now there are purpose-built spaces with stable fiber connections, private phone booths, and actual community events. Here’s what I’ve used.

Dojo Bali (Canggu)

The oldest established coworking in Canggu and still one of the best. Good internet (100mbps+), proper desks, private call booths, regular community events. Day pass IDR 150,000. Monthly from IDR 1,800,000. Near Batu Bolong Beach. It’s gotten more expensive as Canggu has, but the quality holds up.

Outpost (Ubud and Canggu locations)

More design-conscious than Dojo, slightly pricier. The Ubud location overlooks rice terraces — genuinely beautiful working environment, which is either a productivity boost or a distraction depending on your discipline. Day pass IDR 200,000. Monthly packages available. Good for people who want the Ubud energy without giving up a reliable workspace.

Tropical Nomad (Canggu)

Strong community, good events program, reasonable pricing. Popular with longer-stay nomads. More social atmosphere than Dojo. Day pass IDR 100,000.

The cafe alternative

Many of Canggu’s specialty coffee cafes are effectively coworking spaces — The Shady Shack, Machinery, Nude Coffee Roasters all have reliable WiFi and tolerate laptop work. IDR 40,000–60,000 for a coffee buys you a few hours. For focused work I prefer proper coworking; for the odd email session a good cafe is fine.

eSIM for backup internet

Bali’s fixed internet can be inconsistent during heavy rain (which happens). I always carry an Airalo eSIM as backup — Indonesian 5G data plan for when coworking WiFi dips. Has saved me multiple times during afternoon storms. — book a Yesim eSIM in advance for the best price.
