Introduction
Sun Moon Lake is Taiwan’s largest body of water — named because the eastern part is round like the sun, and the western part curves like a crescent moon. Set among forested mountains at 748m elevation, it’s Taiwan’s most visited inland destination and one of the island’s most scenic.
