Jeonju Hanok Village
600 traditional hanok houses. Walk the lanes at dusk with lanterns lit.
Top sites: Gyeonggijeon Shrine, Jeonju Hyanggyo Confucian School, Omokdae viewpoint.
Jeonju Bibimbap
The dish was born here. Served in a stone bowl (dolsot) with raw egg. The crispy rice layer at the bottom is the best part.
Where to eat: Gogung Restaurant (most famous), many options in the hanok village.
Makgeolli Culture
Order makgeolli and receive generous free anju (side dishes). Best in Samcheon-dong area.
